WATCH: HS Kids Who Railed Football Referee Blame Coach In New Interview

This morning, Good Morning America interviewed the two Texas high school students who attacked a football referee from behind. The young men, Michael Moreno and Victor Rojas (along with their lawyer), appeared on GMA to talk about their sides of the story with George Stephanopoulos.

If you didn’t want to watch the video, long story short is that Victor has an incredible mullet and Michael is much better at speaking to the camera. Oh, you meant what they said? Both students are sticking with the company line “I was doing what I was told” which reeks of bullsh*t if you ask me.
They claim that their coach pulled them aside and told them they had to make the referee pay for causing the game to get out of hand. According to Michael and Victor, the coach claimed that the referee was directly responsible for letting their starting safety get injured.
Personally, I don’t think these students should face any charges. They’ve certainly already been put through the court of public opinion and their body language tells us that they’re extremely sorry for what they’ve done. I mean, Victor’s straight up mumbling.
