This week in trailers was pretty much owned by James Bond and SPECTRE–although we also got intrigued by Mississippi Grind and Zac Efron dropping the bass in We Are Your Friends.
There were still plenty of other sneak peeks that deserve some attention–including a trailer that isn’t really a trailer, but sure deserves a lot more attention than the film that it’s, um, trailering…
Vacation (Tartan Prancer Car Commercial)
There really was yet another trailer for the reboot/revamp/remake of National Lampoon’s Vacation released this week. It wasn’t that impressive. Well, except for how Christina Applegate can still star in a big summer movie in 2015. Gotta respect that (and that link will remind you why so many guys still have a big crush on her).

Also, it’s more excited about being the kind of dopey movie where young men have to take on an organization known as WCKD. This is also the movie where WCKD is revealed to be more like the Umbrella Corporation from the Resident Evil series, and we get the book series’ variation on zombies….
Before We Go
And here’s what Chris Evans has been doing when not saving the world as Captain America. Before We Go is his directorial debut, and he also stars as a New York musician who spends a long night with a stranger. Did we mention that Chris Evans directed this? Yeah, that’s why the stranger is played by Alice Eve. Good directorial vision there….
