Brian Dozier of the Minnesota Twins got beat out for the final position in the American League’s All-Star Team by Kansas City’s Mike Moustakas. So he did what any champ does–brushed off his cleats, went to work and knocked out a walk-off 3-run home run last night against the Detroit Tigers.
Yeah, we won’t goof on that guy for feeling pretty smug this morning. We actually feel kind of sorry for Mike Moustakas. He’s going out into that field with everyone saying, “Yeah, he’s no Brian Dozier.” It hasn’t even been a week since Dozie’s last walk-off home run landed the Twins a win over the Orioles. Anyway, here’s what a future Hall of Famer looks like, unless Moustakas gets that slot, too…
