Subscription service boxes and goods are popping up everywhere: Birchbox, Nerd Block, Loot Crate, 1Up Box, hell you can even inlclude beer clubs of the month on that list. So it was only a matter of time before some business-minded potheads would put together a marijuana subscription delivery service. It’s called Potbox and it claims to be the “highest quality, most ethically grown… cannabis available.”
Right now you can only subscribe to PotBox if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the company is doing a trial run in Los Angeles right now.
Update: We mistakenly got some of the figures incorrect. Eric from Potbox got in touch and we’ve since made changes. It is $149.99 (not $160) and subscribers get 10 grams (not half an ounce).
So now for the big question: how much is Potbox? A cool $149.99 nets you 4 grams of two different strains of weed, plus two, hand-rolled, wax-sealed joints. The different strains come in two separate corked bottles of different strains that you as a customer can choose. In addition to the weed, you also get statistics and facts on the strains–helpful if you really need it for medical purposes.
Is it more expensive than if you picked up from your local dealer or even a dispensary? Yes, but you’re paying for the quality, no-hassle delivery, and peace of mind knowing that the drugs you’re smoking are as pure as possible.
