Julie Johnston is fast becoming one of the most popular soccer players on the United States Women’s National Team. The defender who wears #19 plays her club game for the Chicago Red Stars, but she’s really turned up the competition for the 2015 World Cup. In fact, she’s gone from a late injury replacement to starting center-back in a matter of weeks.
One reporter from beIN Sports Network once said about Johnston “Julie, you have the face of an angel and you tackle like an absolute beast.” We can’t necessarily say that we disagree with that statement–neither can Eagles TE Zach Ertz, her boyfriend.
