Getting up in the morning is the f*cking worst, especially when that irritating buzzing sound pierces your ears at the crack ass of dawn. You’d think nothing could make this experience any better, but SensorWake is trying their best to change your mind.
The new alarm clock has a more appealing strategy to get you out of bed: by wafting delicious smells from its clock. No we’re not talking about the KFC Double Down, but the sleeper can choose from various cartridges that are just as good. Bacon, rose, money, freshly squeezed orange juice, and salt water air are all available for purchase. All you do is pick your poison and insert the pod into the clock. Sounds pretty dope to us.
The company was started by teenage entrepreneur Guillame Rolland and made its debut on Kickstarter in May with a $54,000 goal. There’s still 20 days left to go, but Sensorwak has surpassed its goal by a sh*t ton – they currently have $131,697 and 1,195 backers.
SensorWake costs about $119 and the cartridges are sold separately, each costing about $9.
That may sound a little steep for an alarm clock, but the daily morning screech is about to cost us our lives (or someone else’s), so we’re willing to shell out the cash.
