Grayson Allen memes were going to happen after the Duke basketball player made a name for himself in the 2015 March Madness. Now we’re here in 2016 and the kid could not be more meme-able. First, immediately after Duke’s win over UNC-Wilmington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament you had some hilarious jokes being made on Twitter and Instagram.
Take for example this Ted Cruz and Grayson Allen face swap. The similarity is uncanny:
Then right before the year ended, in a regular-season game against Elon, Grayson Allen tripped an Elon player for the third time in his career, was ejected from the game, started crying, and was then subsequently suspended indefinitely from the Duke team.
That trip and subsequent suspension was all it took to bring the Duke Hate Train out of the station at record pace. Check out the series of hilarious Grayson Allen memes below.
Even if you weren’t watching March Madness at all last year, all you had to do was check Twitter to see that he was the talk of the town last night. First his name started trending, then “I Hate Grayson Allen.”

But by far our favorite moment came when people started saying that Grayson Allen looks like everyone. Here are a few of the best comparisons.

^^You’re not missing anything in the photo above. That white space is intentional…^^
The thing is, Grayson was highly recruited coming out of high school. Just because he looks like a small white dude, he can flat out ball.
