Yesterday afternoon Lionsgate announced that it will partner with Dubai Parks and Resorts to bring The Hunger Games to Motiongate Dubai, a Hollywood-themed amusement park opening in October 2016.
The film franchise will be the inspiration for various rides and souvenir shops, while Step Up: All In and Step Up: Revolution, two other Lionsgate films that recently debuted in theaters, will inspire a live stage show nearby.
Obviously we can do without everything relating to Step Up (but really, everything), but the Hunger Games sounds kind of horrifying. What kind of themed rides are they going to have? Stranger fight to the deaths?
We’re not sure we actually want to find out.
