ASU Will Install Prescription Drugs Vending Machines On Campus

Arizona State University will become the first college in the United States to install a vending machine for prescription drugs–it’s called InstyMeds and it looks awesome.

The new InstyMeds vending machine fills a void left on ASU’s campus since back in September when the on-campus pharmacy shut down. Now all ASU students and employees need to do is grab a voucher from their provider–valid for 24 hours–scan it, enter their birthday, and take the pills that come out. Boom. Easy as can be.

Obviously people are a little nervous that students will abuse the machine because, well, it’s ASU, but we’re not quite sure how the number of people abusing meds from InstyMeds will differ from the number of people abusing meds from their doctors.
