Cubs' Kris Bryant Saves Collector $850 Via Twitter By Sending Him Bat

Sooner than later, Kris Bryant is going to be a superstar for the Chicago Cubs–and there are already some of his signed items being found on sites like eBay. A collector found what he thought was a signed Bryant bat for $850 and messaged Bryant on Twitter to ask him if the signature was authentic or not. [photo: Elsa/Getty]
Bryant’s response was worthy of Babe Ruth…

There’s something that will get Bryant a lot of fans. He isn’t going to be sending out free bats to everyone, obviously–but in this case, Bryant obviously believed that it was worth it to send the collector a free signed bat. The Cubs have been waiting to bring Bryant up to Wrigley Field but aren’t going to be able to wait much longer with his talent.
There are going to be fans all over the ballpark when he does finally arrive wanting to get their own Bryant autograph. He has seen his fanbase shoot up now with this story going around. If he were able to bring the Cubs a World Series championship, there will be plenty that will carry him down Michigan Ave. in Chicago.
