John Oliver brought in Nick Offerman for a fake Home Depot commercial on Last Week Tonight last night, and the video is a lot more fun than watching whatever video supposedly featuring John Oliver totally destroying…well, whatever John Oliver talked about last night.
The mere presence of Nick Offerman should make this the best clip from Last Week Tonight, anyway–as the Parks and Recreation star is recruited for a fake Home Depot commercial proving that real sales people are better than the robots that Lowe’s is trying to introduce as part of their sales staff.
The whole thing goes on a little too long (in that Last Week Tonight tradition), but it’s still pretty great. But what the hell is going to happen to Nick Offerman when Parks and Recreation goes off the air? We’re really concerned about the guy. At least this spot proves that Offerman really is a natural in a Home Depot apron….
