IKEA Singapore Ad Spoofs "The Shining," Wins Halloween [VIDEO]

IKEA has done some really brilliant advertising in the past–which is important, because there sure seem to be plenty of stand-up comedians wanting to goof on the company. That’s always a battle. Anyway, the ad geniuses at BBH Asia Pacific have really stepped up with a Halloween spot that crams in some really iconic imagery.
We’re talking about some footage worthy of a real-life “Treehouse of Horror” episode, as a little kid goes cruising through some strangely familiar territory. The only thing missing is what could’ve been some very creative use of lingonberry jam. We guess that IKEA is selling a friendly family experience, though. We still think that that we’ll have some kind of lingonberry nightmare later on tonight, though.
Also, our local IKA closes at 9 pm. We didn’t realize that the place was full of lazy bastards until we saw this commercial…
