We know that Robert Downey Jr. is really smart and probably needs a distraction or two while promoting a movie, but this is going to be really hard on the geek sites. Now they have to backpedal over yesterday’s big announcement that now seems like a cheap stunt to get applause. Also, now we have to worry that Robert Downey Jr. was just joking about his upcoming Perry Mason franchise. That’d be a shame. We’d love to hear a modern updating of the Perry Mason theme.
