JJ Abrams is the master of creating elaborate puzzles out of his productions. He loves to leave tiny little clues and hints that only the most discerning fan can identify. Now that he’s in charge of one of the most successful movie franchises in history, he can’t help but screw with the fans’ heads just a little bit. His latest teaser may be hinting that the Death Star will return for Star Wars: Episode VII.
Abrams posted a photo on his production company’s Twitter account of a handwritten note in response to yesterday’s big news from Apple that they are planning to release the Apple Watch. The note is the less important part unless there’s some kind of hidden message in the words that require a special decoder ring to unravel and we wouldn’t put it past Abrams to try and pull a stunt like that. The background is the more important part. The note is sitting on a table with a glossy finish and it’s reflecting what appears to be the walls of one of the hallways from inside the Death Star.
Of course, this is all just speculation from the Internet that started to pick up steam when some bigger news outlets reported news of the photo. However, it would be awesome if the Death Star could make another appearance in the upcoming Star Wars movies especially after the prequels just gave us fleeting glimpses of the thing being built as if we cared about the construction of one of the greatest weapons in movie history. If they can bring The Emperor back to life for the new Star Wars movie, then they can also bring back the Death Star.
