The First Image From "Ant-Man" Is… Disappointing

“What is this? A bridge for ants?”

Ant-Man (#12 on our list of “Most Anticipated Movies of 2015“) just started production yesterday, so you can imagine our surprise when we saw an image of Paul Rudd as character Scott Lang on the internet today. From what we can tell, Scott’s in bad shape–driving an old van and wearing stitches over his right eye.

Is it the most enthralling photo we’ve ever seen? Not by a long shot, but it’s good to know that the movie is moving forward–especially after director Edgar Wright dropped from the project.

While productions don’t necessarily start from the beginning of the script, we’re theorizing that this scene comes from one of the earlier moments where Scott is a thief, before he really becomes Ant-Man.
