Another season of Community is just around the corner thanks to Yahoo! who picked up the series after NBC cancelled it. Yahoo! celebrated the show’s momentous return with an equally momentous trailer.
The new trailer teases some of the craziness we’re about to witness when one of Dan Harmon’s cult creations doesn’t have to worry about dumb things like ratings or TV censors. First, the trailer recaps some of the wackier moments from the show’s five epic seasons on NBC and follows it up with a bunch of fleeting shots of the new season that’s set to launch on, well, we don’t know yet. Yahoo! hasn’t announced a premiere date for the new season because they know they’ve basically got our attention just by promising us as a sixth season of Community after we thought the show was dead, gone and buried forever and ever. They could order us to stand in front of our computers and do the Hokey-Pokey in our underpants in exchange for a release date and we’d probably do it because, well, it’s Community. I hope we haven’t given them any bad ideas.
Until then, you can check out the trailer and all the awesomeness we’re about to witness in the embedded trailer below…

If Yahoo! pulls this off, this could be yet another game changer for TV in the same way that Netflix relaunched Arrested Development with its own additional season. Just think of all the cancelled shows we could finally get back. Hell, we might even get a third season of that forgotten TV gem She’s the Sheriff.
