The Batkid Gets His Own Movie in this "Batkid Begins" Trailer (VIDEO)

San Francisco’s “Batkid” was one of last year’s more touching news stories, as a little boy who wanted to play Batman soon had an entire city playing along. Now the kid is getting the documentary he deserves.
The movie Batkid Begins explores the life of Miles “Batkid” Scott and the extraordinary experience that helped him live out his fantasy courtesy of the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The five-year-old in is remission from leukemia and had just one wish when the Make-a-Wish asked him what he’d like to do: “I want to be a real Batman.” So the Foundation turned the entire city of San Francisco into Gotham City for a day and let let Scott live his ultimate dream of saving someone’s else. The entire city heard about the project and pitched in to help out and make Scott’s dream come true in a way even though couldn’t have expected. Massive crowds watched the Batkid in action and cheered him on as he defeated the Riddle, the Penguin and the Joker. He even became an Internet meme for a day as people all around the world tuned in to watch him defeat evil. Here’s the trailer for the new documentary…

We have to admit that just watching the trailer made us tear up a little bit. It not only made for a nice, moving followup to the Batman v. Superman teaser trailer from Comic-Con but it also reminded us how much we miss being a little kid.
