Two of the greatest modern forces in American comedy are teaming up to do the live comedy tour that you know you always wanted.
Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are teaming up with the host of Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule for an epic American and Canadian tour that kicks off on Sept. 4th in Montreal. The trio haven’t leaked much about fans can expect on the new tour but if their respective shows are any indication, then…well, we can’t even imagine what that would be like because their shows are f$*%ing insane.
Tim and Eric are the comedy duo that launched the careers of Dr. Brule and countless other awkward, infotainment celebrities. They are the stars and creators of the groundbreaking Adult Swim sketch show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! where they have also hosted their own “Crimbus special” (AKA Christmas special) and a spooky Bedtime Stories Halloween special. They also starred together in the epic film Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie. Here is one of their tamer sketches, which should give you at least a jumping off point about where a live comedy show could go from comedic minds of this caliber.

The big news is that they are bringing Dr. Brule (AKA John C. Reilly) with them. The good doctor just completed his third season of Check It Out! on Adult Swim and given the popularity he’s bound to gain from the tour, a fourth season shouldn’t be far behind it. Check out one of my personal favorites from Dr. Brule’s many life lessons: How to get a job. I can say with full certainty that I would not be where I am today without sound advice like this.
