"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Trailer Looks More Like "GI Joe III" [VIDEO]

We’re all more interested in watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailers than the actual movie, right? Yeah, that seems fair–although we’re kind of interested in how this new trailer plays more like a hardcore action film than a kiddie movie. You’ll see that it opens with a hostage situation, and then crams in plenty of explosions and other violent acts. Also, we’re seeing a lot more of Meghan Fox than ever before, and the most footage yet of the evil Shredder. That’s a picture of Shredder above because we’re geeky enough to have that be a bigger deal than Meghan Fox.
We’re also reminded that Will Arnett is in this one, and Oscar-winning actress Whoppi Goldberg. As for the turtles themselves–well, they’re seeming a little too hip for our taste. We’re hoping the movie will flesh them out more as characters, but don’t go thinking that means we’re going to be the first in line to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when it opens on August 8th. We won’t be able to get drunk that early…
