Joel Embiid was predicted as the #1 overall draft pick in the upcoming NBA draft, but a surgery he had today for a stress fracture–a potentially disastrous injury–might have moved him down a few spots. Joel doesn’t look to be too upset, though. He’s still smiling even though he knows this procedure (and injury) could potentially have cost him millions of dollars.
Gotta love a guy who doesn’t take life too seriously. He’s still a surefire 1st round draft pick and hopefully he’ll be able to have a long career as a big man in the NBA.
Hopefully someone’s brought him his favorite Miley CDs for the hospital stay.
