Samba Dancers Hit The NYC Streets For The World Cup [VIDEOS]

The best part about living in New York City is that every country in the world is represented here–so there’s always something crazy going on during events like the World Cup. You couldn’t walk down any street in Manhattan last night without passing a different group of (perfectly behaved) soccer hooligans proudly singing the national anthem of their winning team. And then you sights that are a little more beautiful, like these these samba dancers who hit the streets yesterday during the Brazil vs. Croatia opening game.

Consider this to be a proud endorsement of Manhattan’s glorious melting pot–or maybe physical proof that you don’t have to take a ten-hour flight to Brazil just to get stabbed and robbed. You can just take the uptown train and have the same thing happen to you here!
