The Decepticons Pull a Voltron in the New "Transformers" Game [VIDEO]

The new Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark game is on the horizon and the new trailer features what looks like one of the most badass robot bosses we’ve seen in a video game.
The trailer features footage of what’s sure to be one of its most interesting challenges. It shows a bunch of smaller Decepticons like Swindle, Brawl, Onslaught, Blast Off and Vortex as they are transforming from their vehicle stages. However, they aren’t turning into their robotic forms. Instead, they form into smaller pieces of a massive Decepticon called Brutuicus. The trailer shows this massive villain just laying waste to everything in his path. We can’t wait to fight this thing when the new game hits the stores around the same time as the new movie Transformers: Age of Extinction is released in theaters on June 27th.

We should emphasize the fact that Rise of the Dark Spark and Age of Extinction are two completely different Transformers franchises, even though what you just saw in the trailer looks good enough to merit its own full length film. The game takes places in the Cybertron universe before the Autobots and Decepticons turned Earth into their new battlefield. This game, however, will attempt to link the Cybertron universe to the universe in the Michael Bay movies possibly by showing the events that led to the destruction of the Transformers’ home planet. It’s actually a clever way of doing a video game version of a popular movie since most of those games, well, suck. In fact, the Cybertron games like Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron are actually a lot of fun to play because they aren’t confined by the limits of a movie that may or may not have been made to work as a video game.
