The Roots Announce New Album, Release Single [VIDEO]

The Roots are without a doubt the hardest working group in hip-hop–and pretty much any genre of music right now. Now the workaholics just announced the release of their new album–titled …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin, with the band debuting the song “When the People Cheer” for our listening pleasure. 

The new album will hit shelves on May 13th via Def Jam. This will be the band’s 11th studio album. Seriously, these guys just can’t stop, with them performing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday through Friday, and still finding time to record albums and even go on tour. Check out their awesome (and surprisingly melancholy) new single and witness a refresher of how talented (and funny) these guys are…
