ABC Cancels "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland"

Here’s some news that won’t surprise any TV fans out there–mainly because barely any of you actually watched it. ABC has officially axed its fairy-tale spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Everybody should feel bad, too, since our See Her Tonight column tried to hip you to hot babes in the cast. We’re talking beauties like the long-legged Peta Sergeant as the Jabberwocky, plus Emma Rigby as the sultry Red Queen.
The series was spun-off from ABC’s other fairy-tale drama Once Upon a Time, and seemed to have some serious momentum after the network quickly ordered a rush on production. Of course, that’s a tall order for a show that requires a lot of special effects in every episode. There’s already plenty of work that needs to get done to put together a regular season in a reasonable amount of time.
In the end, all that matters in the TV game are the ratings and Wonderland just wasn’t able to bring them in so ABC decided it was time to put an end to the fantasy drama. The network originally gave Wonderland 17 episodes for their first and only season. Now they’ll only make it to 13, with the finale scheduled to air next Friday. It’s a good thing ABC hasn’t cancelled Once Upon a Time yet. so at least these two can have another chance to appear on our TVs–or we’d really be distraught right now.
