75 Celebrities Join M.I.A. In Giving The Finger [PHOTOS]

We’re really having a hard time getting behind the NFL harassing M.I.A. for flipping the bird during Madonna’s 2012 Super Bowl Halftime Show. You’d think there’s some kind of statute of limitations on that kind of thing. Especially since celebrities have been casually extending their middle fingers for years without the NFL suing them for a baffling $16 million.
So good for M.I.A. for filing her counterclaim, including a note that Madonna’s dancers–whom the court papers speculate were “not even of adult age”–were onstage as they “lewdly thrust their elevated pelvic areas in a manner unmistakably evocative of sexual acts.” And we’d just like to add that M.I.A. is a musician, and has just as much right to flip the bird as, say, pioneering punks like The Runaways did back in the 1970s…
