Major Key is the latest album by DJ Khaled. It is his ninth studio album, Major Key was released at midnight on July 29, 2016 by We the Best Music Group and Epic Records. DJ Khaled has ascended to a new level of popularity over the last year, so Major Key is by far his biggest release yet.
The album has many huge features from the biggest rappers in the world, such as Jay Z, Future, Drake, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Betty Wright, J. Cole, Bryson Tiller, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, Jeezy, French Montana, YG, Yo Gotti, Meghan Trainor, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Jadakiss, Fabolous, August Alsina, Jeremih, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Kent Jones, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne and Mavado, all featured on the album. The album has produced four singles so far, “For Free”, “I Got the Keys”, “Holy Key” and “Do You Mind”. It will be released Friday at midnight on July 28, 2016, exclusively on Apple Music.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, the album’s title stems from DJ Khaled’s Snapchat persona. Late last year, Khaled blew up on Snapchat, sharing his pieces of advice that he calls his “keys to success,” using the ‘key’ emoji as a symbol of his knowledge.
