Here’s How Much It Costs To Hire Your Favorite Bands And DJs

Kanye Lead

A list published by Priceonomics reveals just how much it would cost for you to hire your favorite musician for a private show. This is by no means a definitive list but it does give you a fun/depressing look at how much different bands charge to do private shows. [lead image via RapBasement]

Where’d Priceonomics get this information? From an anonymous source at a third-party booking site Degy that specializes in college shows.

Before you take a look at this list, you should know that there a few sneaky things about it:

• First off, I believe this list might be a year or two old. There is no way that a band like One Direction only charges $200K per show these days. I don’t like them either but those talentless children are getting PAID.

• These numbers/estimates are gathered through a third-party site. That means they’re charging extra money to be the middle-man. If you’re really interested in hiring these bands, you’d be better off contacting the bands actual booking agent.

• This list is not comprehensive.

• The Ying Yang Twins at $10,000 – $15,000 would be an absolute steal if that price didn’t include the lean, strippers, and pounds of marijuana they require for each show.

All that being said, if you’re still in college you should absolutely pass this list onto your event managers so that they know they don’t have to hire sh*tty bands just to stay within the budget. But enough yakking, let’s get to the list.

$50,000 – $100,000

$30,000 – $50,000

$20,000 – $30,000

$10,000 – $20,000

$1,000 – $10,000
