In a really devastating story, a cow trampled an 8-year-old Massachusetts boy to death Saturday on his family’s farm.
The boy, George Carter, was out on their Georgetown, MA farm with his father, Peter, when the heart-wrenching attack occurred. George was walking the pregnant cow with a lead rope, when the cow’s issue with the boy beagn. “So I went to tie my animal off to go back and give him a hand,” Peter told Fox25 WFXT. I turn around and I see my son tangled up in a lead rope and a cow running down the drive way. At that point, he had already been stomped on,”
Peter said the cow has had significant training and that he had trusted.
The cow dragged George around the yard and once George saw he lunged at the cow to untangle his son from the lead. Peter then attempted to give George CPR to no avail.
“We haven’t figured out to tell a 3-year-old that the brother she loves very much is no longer here,” the grieving father said. “Because I don’t know how to. I don’t know how to do it.”
