Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders faced off yesterday during Brooklyn’s democratic debate and things got pretty heated. With the New York Primary just around the corner — April 19th, for anyone who needs to know — their defenses were up.
In terms of delegates, Clinton is ahead 1,756 to Sanders’ 1,068, but in terms of pledged delegates, her lead is much smaller: 1,287 to 1,068. With Sanders winning 7 of the last 8 primaries, he is looking to ride his momentum into the next wave of primaries, where key democratic states such as New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California set to vote in the coming weeks.
