Spring Break stands for a few things: cheap, excessive, loud, and turnt. But making plans is such a turn-off.
You and your friends may have been tossing around ideas on where you should travel to in order to have the sickest Spring Break ever, but when it comes to booking it, nothing happened. Why? Because you’re lazy! And busy, really, really busy. Or so you say.
Let’s stop the feet dragging – IT’S DECISION TIME B*TCHES. Here’s how to plan a last minute and cheap Spring Break trip.
1. Pick a place (20 minutes)
Hop on Kayak Explore, and find out where you want to go, for how much. Type in the date of your travel, your location, Kayak will show you the cheapest flights for all destinations in one go.

That’s a lot of blue marks. Can’t decide? Get a little more visual with Google Image or Insta search #SanDiego, #LasVegas, or wherever you’re interested in going. If it’s not on Instagram, it didn’t happen, and who wants to travel somewhere that doesn’t actually exist?
Once you’ve made up your mind, keep the flight tab open while you figure out a few other things.
2. Check the weather (1 minute)
Nothing like bad weather pooping on a beach party.
3. Where to sleep (20 minutes)
Airbnb and Trip Advisor are both great places to start, but the latter is also the kind of place where you might accidentally blow an entire afternoon – poring through user reviews, and end up in a mild coma. Info overload.

For Daytona Beach for example, the #1 hotel is Shores Resort and Spa, starts at $109/night. Not bad, (especially when split between friends) for a Four Star hotel. 4. Book it! (15 minutes)
Send a mass text to all your friends: “Spring Breaking motherf*ckers, I’m BOOKING IT!” Then take a sip of your beer, and return to your flight booking tab.
Book your flight before you book your hotels, as flight prices are more likely to change. You might want to close your browser and reopen it again before you make the booking. I’ve noticed prices creep up after I’ve been searching for a while. Not sure if this has to do travel agencies tracking my searches. Restart the browser to make sure you hit the lowest price.
5. Update your Facebook status (3 minutes)
Hit up your FB buds for travel tips. When you post an FB update like “Headed for #LasVegas for #SpringBreak,” you’ll get some replies. “Must eat at so-and-so restaurant” or “Dude! I’M SO IN!”
