It’s a very sad day in age when a school like Ohio State University is forced to make a “How To Survive an Active Shooter” out of necessity. But that’s where we are right now. So good on the OSU Department of Safety for taking the time to produce such a video.

So what’s the most important thing you can do? First, run and get out. If you can’t, then hide. ONLY and ONLY if those two options are not possible should you fight. Do not be a hero.
I know that a lot of websites and online publications are praising the actions of those individuals who are taking on these shooters, and while they’re certainly brave, these people had no other option but to fight.
