An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot this morning outside of an attorney’s office on Plew Avenue in Shalimar, Florida. According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) Facebook page, the suspect responsible for the shooting has been located and is currently holed up in a Comfort Inn.
A call of shots fired was received around 8:20 AM. According to the NWF Daily News, a medivac helicopter was originally called and then cancelled, which is a positive sign for the Deputy.
The name of the injured officer has not been released yet. He has been taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
