Darryl Dawkins aka “Chocolate Thunder” (given that nickname by Stevie Wonder) died this afternoon. Check out this awesome interview where he explains how he got the name:

Following his retirement from the NBA, Dawkins coached the ABA’s Newark Express and the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs, which played in the Lehigh Valley as part of the now-defunct United States Basketball League.
So in memory of one of the most stylish and aggressive dunkers in the history of the game, here are some of his best highlights. (For the record, #2 is his best one in my opinion.)
