Jordan Peele is incredible at generating buzz for his films. His upcoming thriller is titled Us and has been generating buzz ever since its initial trailer released with a creepy rendition of Luniz’s “I Got 5 On It.” It is the follow-up to his hit film Get Out.
On Wednesday, March 13, just over one week ahead of its March 22 release date in theaters, the official soundtrack tracklist for the film was dropped.
And, yes, the creepy remix of “I Got 5 On It” is on the soundtrack. The rest of the film is scored by composer Michael Abels while we also get appearances from Minnie Riperton and Janelle Monae.
Us has received plenty of praise as a screenplay and for its direction and acting — which includes a cast of Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Evan Alex, Shahadi Wright Joseph, and more — which has led to the film being one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year.
