Hurricane Michael made landfall on the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, Oct. 9 as a Category 4 storm. It was one of the strongest storms to ever hit Florida’s panhandle and cities like Panama City and Mexico Beach were directly in its path. As the storm approached, it was clear that there would be catastrophic damage done.
When the storm made landfall, Mexico Beach to a brunt of the damage with streets completely underwater and blocks of homes flattened by the 150 mph winds.
Other parts of Florida were also underwater as Hurricane Michael continued its surge across the land.
