Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, was serving as the special host and musical guest on the newest episode of “Saturday Night Live.” During the middle of his appearance, Gambino surprised fans by dropping a new single and music video for a track titled “This Is America.” The video was directed by Hiro Murai.
In the video, Glover is dancing his way through chaotic scenes that are taking place in the background as he continues to move along. There is also a nice change of pace midway through the track.
It also marks the first new song from Childish Gambino since the Grammy-nominated “Awaken, My Love!” in 2016.
This fall, Glover will be taking Gambino on the road for a tour that will feature guests Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples.
