Well, it was only a matter of time before a bunch of whiny college kids got into some fisticuffs (I’ve never used that word before so this is a milestone, congratulations for reading this) over Donald Trump’s election. If you ask me, everyone’s at fault here. Everyone knows when you get into a fight with your girlfriend you both need to cool down for a few hours until you can re-engage in peace treaty discussions. Liberals and conservatives need to adopt the same mentality.
In a video uploaded to Facebook by West Virginia student Kaitlynn Critchfield, a college student, identified as West Virginia University Left Alliance president Kelley Denham, assaults and curses at a conservative leader on Wednesday. Denham grabbed the man’s phone multiple times in an attempt to prevent him from filming the exchange. “Sad!” as our President would say.
The two groups were reportedly meeting to organize a joint debate. The beginning of the first video shows Denham telling the conservative students, “Yeah, you guys should leave.”
In the second video, Denham can be seen assaulting and cursing at one of the students who left with Critchfield.

After the video began going viral, Kaitlynn Critchfield posted a video on Youtube further explaining the situation.

There are a couple of angles to this one. First of all, we’re only hearing one side of the story. Conservative websites such as the Blaze, Fox News, and Milo Yiannopoulos have covered the story, but so far, I haven’t been able to find any liberal leaning sources covering the issue. Couple that with the lack of comment from Denham and the alliance he represents. In that regard, we are only getting one side of the story.
Secondly, as is the case with most of the videos that go viral, we are only seeing parts of the story. Other than Critchfield’s account, we are unsure of what led Denham to ask them to leave, or what led him to continue to follow Critchfield and her friends. What we see is that Denham appears to be outnumbered. Now, the actions are both immature and inexcusable, but it’s hard to pass judgment when truly only getting one side of the story.
As Critchfield’s Facebook page indicates, she is a journalist, so she of all people should know there are three sides to a story.
