On Saturday afternoon, the Louisville Cardinals will head to Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles in an ACC showdown. It should be a doozy, as these two teams are polar opposites on the hardwood. Florida State is 12th in the country with a scoring average of 86.3 points per game, while Louisville is tied for 15th in the country in scoring defense. The stingy Cardinals only give up 62.2 points per game.
The #12 ranked Cardinals (16-3, 4-2 ACC) have played a brutal schedule lately, but it hasn’t stopped them from racking up wins. Five of their last eight games have been against ranked opponents, and they have managed to go 6-2 over this extremely difficult stretch. Louisville went 3-2 against the top 25 teams, and they are 4-3 against ranked teams on the season.
The #10 ranked Seminoles (17-2, 5-1 ACC) have also rose to the occasion against tough competition. Their last five games have all came against top 25 teams, and they have gone 4-1 against these talented opponents. Florida State is tied for first place in the ACC for a reason, folks.
