Mugshots that resemble celebrities pop up online fairly often. But this one’s different – the resemblance is almost uncanny. Look at Cyrena Anne Quast’s booking photo without knowing who she is, and you might swear Jennifer Lopez just had a rough night out.
Quast, 35, lives in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Police arrested her on August 30 in Monticello after she allegedly walked out of a Runnings store with two double packs of power tool batteries, worth roughly $580 combined.
An employee at the store recognized her. She’d apparently been suspected of a similar theft just two days before, and that’s what led to the call to police. Once officers picked her up, Quast admitted to taking the batteries and was booked into jail.
That booking photo is what set things off online.

The New York Post got a copy of the mugshot and ran a story on it. From there, it spread fast — the post has racked up nearly two million views on X (formerly Twitter) as of this writing, almost entirely because of how much Quast looks like Lopez.
Social media reacted the way you’d expect.
“For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao,” one user wrote.
“There’s a glitch in the matrix lol,” another posted.
“If you look close their noses are different but DAMN I had to look extra close to find any differences lol,” a third commented.
One user even joked about a family connection: “Maybe a secret child? They’re 22 years apart.”
The theft charge against Quast isn’t a minor one, though. It’s been bumped up to a felony — partly because the combined value of the stolen batteries topped $500, and partly because of a prior gross misdemeanor theft conviction out of Stearns County from March 2024.
A judge set her bail at $15,000, or release with conditions attached at no cost. Court records show this isn’t Quast’s first run-in with law enforcement; she’s had prior encounters tied to theft, drug possession, fleeing police, and giving officers false identification, with a history dating back to 2023.
As for the real Jennifer Lopez — she’s had a rough stretch herself, just not this kind. Her divorce from Ben Affleck, a canceled tour due to weak ticket sales, and a Netflix movie that critics tore apart all made headlines over the past couple of years. So far in 2026, though, things have gone quiet on the Lopez front. At least until a Minnesota woman’s mugshot briefly put her name back in the news — for reasons that have nothing to do with her at all.
