Bobbi Althoff Spoofs Sydney Sweeney’s Viral Novig Ad

Sydney Sweeney isn’t the only blonde influencer that sports betting app Novig has teamed up with. Podcaster Bobbi Althoff just posted her own budget version of Sweeney’s now-infamous birthday suit ad, and she put it right on her Instagram account.

Sweeney stripping down for a campaign isn’t exactly new territory for her at this point — it’s become something of a pattern. Her Novig ad followed that same playbook, and it stirred up plenty of controversy along the way. Female athletes, along with plenty of other women, weren’t shy about criticizing the actress over it.

Podcaster Bobbi Althoff recreated Sydney Sweeney’s viral Novig ad, since the influencer is also a new partner of the sports betting app.

Althoff doesn’t come close to Sweeney’s level of fame, so her take on the ad probably won’t spark the same kind of debate. Still, it proves something — Novig’s campaign isn’t just built around one former Euphoria star. It’s really about any well-known blonde woman willing to play along.

“It’s giving, ‘We have Sydney Sweeney at home!’”

That’s the top comment sitting on Althoff’s video right now.

Sweeney had her own explanation for the ad, and it sounded a lot less controversial than the reaction suggested. “The campaign was about embracing a fun idea. The concept is simple: cut through the noise and put the focus entirely on sports,” she said in a statement. “The campaign brings that idea to life with confidence, humor and a playful edge.”

Sweeney had a packed 2025. She appeared in five films that year — Echo Valley, Eden, Christy, The Housemaid, and Americana. This year looks a lot quieter on the film front, especially after her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2 got cut entirely.

She did stick around for television, though.

Sweeney returned as Cassie Howard for the final — and pretty divisive — season of HBO’s Euphoria. Fans are still arguing over how that season wrapped up.

Looking ahead, Sweeney has a few more projects lined up. She’s set to star in The Custom of the Country, The Housemaid’s Secret, and Gundam, with the latter two both scheduled for theaters next year.

As for Althoff — she’ll probably keep doing whatever it is she does to stay relevant. That’s worked out fine for her so far.
