Antonio Brown isn’t shy about linking himself to CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) – the degenerative brain disease that, notably, can only be diagnosed after death. Now he’s threatening a social media comedian over a joke about it.
Brown’s issue is with Druski, who recently posted a sketch mocking football players dealing with CTE symptoms. The former NFL wide receiver didn’t find it funny.
Since leaving the league — and stacking up a long list of controversies and legal troubles along the way — Brown has practically built a brand around having CTE. His X account bio literally reads #CTESPN. There’s even a spinoff account dedicated to it.
That’s the strange part.
Brown embracing the CTE label, whether intentionally or not, has made him something of a punchline. People haven’t taken it seriously, and for a while, he didn’t seem to mind. Druski’s skit, though, apparently hit different.

Speaking with Sidetalk NYC, Brown — a former Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion — didn’t hold back when asked whether he thought the skit was aimed at him.
“I don’t know, it could have been,” he said.
“Yeah, I’m gonna f— Druski in his a–. Yo, Druski, I’m gonna f— you in the a–. Like, not directly in your s—, but, like, we’re gonna violate you, bro. We’re gonna run up on him and give him a wedgie for all my CTE brothers. We gon’ get his drawers to his ears.”
When asked who else counts among his “CTE brothers,” Brown named just one person: former Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.

From Steelers Star to NFL Outcast
Brown spent his best years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, from 2010 to 2018, where he made a case for being the league’s most dominant receiver. Then it all fell apart.
He was traded to the then-Oakland Raiders in 2019 — and got cut before he ever played a single snap for them. He landed with the Patriots next, but that lasted just four games before allegations of sexual and personal misconduct ended that stint too.
Tom Brady gave him one more shot. Brown played two seasons with the Buccaneers, in 2020 and 2021, and even won a Super Bowl in his first year there.
It didn’t end well, though. During a Week 17 game against the New York Jets, Brown abruptly quit the team — and ran off the field mid-game.
