Dana White doesn’t hold back. Whether he’s talking UFC, politics, or apparently soccer’s biggest stage, the man says what he thinks.
On Sunday, the longtime UFC boss posted a video tearing into the production team behind the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium. His complaint? Too many flyovers. Too many celebrity cutaways. Not enough actual match on screen.
This isn’t White’s first production rant lately, either. He fired off similar criticism at his own UFC broadcast team just weeks ago, following UFC 329. The World Cup Final just gave him a fresh target — Spain beat defending champions Argentina, 1-0, after extra time.
It’s not hard to understand why White might still be irritated about UFC 329.
Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return to the Octagon lasted only seconds. He tore his ACL in the opening moments of his main event welterweight bout against Max Holloway on July 11.
White Spreads the Blame Around
To his credit, White didn’t just rip the World Cup broadcast — he took a shot at his own team, too.
“You know what’s crazy? I actually tee’d up the guys who are doing the production, the guys responsible for the production of the World Cup for you guys to hit a grand slam home run. Even though everybody in my team was arguing with me saying you are the worst I said ‘no, we are the worst, they didn’t f— it up as bad as we did.’”
He wasn’t done.
“So what do you guys do? You triple down today and just go ‘f— you Dana White, you’re not beating us! We are the worst production team in the history of sports to ever show celebrities.’ I bow down, congratulations to the producers of the World Cup. You guys win, you guys f—– up that flyover too! I’m not going to nitpick, I’m just giving you credit where credit is due, you guys absolutely f——suck, we are the second worst.”

Fans overseas weren’t laughing along with White, though — plenty of them are genuinely frustrated. The constant celebrity cutaways became one of the most criticized parts of this World Cup, with many viewers outside the U.S. pointing to the tournament’s partial hosting in America as the reason for the shift in broadcast style.
