Angel Reese has never been one to hold back, and that hasn’t changed since her days at LSU. If anything, she’s gotten more comfortable letting people know exactly what’s on her mind during her time in the WNBA.
That includes her thoughts on past relationships – specifically her ex-boyfriend Jalen Duren, who plays center for the Detroit Pistons.
The two dated briefly in 2024 before things ended. Reese has since moved on to Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr., and they’re still together.
So when Carter Jr.’s eighth-seeded Magic beat the Pistons 94-88 on Monday night, taking a 3-1 series lead in their Eastern Conference first-round matchup, Reese saw an opportunity she couldn’t pass up.
A Dunk Worth Sharing
Early in the fourth quarter of Game 4, Magic forward Jamal Cain grabbed the ball on a fast break and went straight at the rim. He drove right toward Duren – one of the league’s better rim protectors – and elevated for a dunk.
Duren jumped to contest, but it didn’t matter.
Cain posterized the All-Star center with a dunk that had the arena erupting.

Orlando held on for the win, putting them one game away from advancing to the second round. The team’s social media accounts were quick to celebrate, posting the highlight from every angle imaginable.
And Reese? She made sure to share it on her own Instagram story.

You could say she was just supporting her current boyfriend and his team’s success. But anyone who’s followed Reese knows she’s fully aware of what she was doing here – and she wasn’t trying to hide it.
Don’t be surprised if Duren fires back with some Angel Reese lowlights once the WNBA season gets going. She’s basically asking for it at this point.
