Josh Allen Responds to Photo of Hailee Steinfeld Supporting Broncos

NFL fans have uncovered a throwback photo of Hailee Steinfeld – Josh Allen’s wife – wearing Denver Broncos gear just days before the Bills quarterback faces the Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round.

The image, which has gone viral on social media, shows Steinfeld at Super Bowl 50 back in 2016. She’s sporting a Broncos Starter jacket while striking the “dab” pose – that short-lived cultural phenomenon that dominated 2016. Her caption read “HELL YEAH BRONCOS!!!” with a tag to the official Starter brand account.

Allen, whose Bills are preparing for their playoff showdown with Denver, was caught off guard when reporter Tracy Wolfson asked him about the photo.

He laughed it off, suggesting Steinfeld was “probably paid to be there” as part of some promotional work. The quarterback wisely added that he “definitely wasn’t going to bring it up at home” – a smart move considering Steinfeld is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The timing couldn’t be more awkward.

Buffalo enters the matchup as 1.5-point underdogs against the top-seeded Broncos. Despite their underdog status, the Bills have been playoff mainstays recently – they’re one of just four teams in NFL history to win a playoff game in six or more consecutive seasons.

The other three franchises in this elite group have all claimed multiple Super Bowls during their respective runs: the dominant Cowboys of the 1990s, the Patriots dynasty of the 2010s, and the current Kansas City Chiefs powerhouse.

Whether Steinfeld will be wearing Bills gear – rather than Broncos colors – for this weekend’s crucial playoff matchup remains to be seen.
