The Thor teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has leaked online, generating significantly more excitement than the Steve Rogers teaser that appeared earlier this month. While the Captain America-focused preview (which played before Avatar: Fire and Ash) received a lukewarm reception, fans are praising the emotional Thor footage that’s circulating despite Marvel’s efforts to remove it.
“By the way. Doomsday teaser? Packed house? You could hear a f—— pin drop,” one viral tweet claimed about the initial Steve Rogers teaser.
The Thor-centered preview, by contrast, has sparked enthusiastic reactions across social media platforms, with fans particularly moved by Thor’s emotional prayer to his father.
Though Marvel quickly removed most copies from the internet, fans managed to capture screenshots and translate Thor’s dialogue from the French-language version that leaked.
The visually striking footage shows Thor in what appears to be a desperate moment – praying not for victory, but simply for survival long enough to see a loved one again.
Fans have been particularly impressed by how the teaser establishes Doctor Doom as a genuine threat to the Avengers.
The stark vulnerability shown by the typically confident God of Thunder has resonated deeply with viewers.

Marvel has responded to the leaks by officially releasing the Steve Rogers teaser that had previously been theater-exclusive. They’ve also unveiled the first poster for the film.
Star-Studded Cast Assembles
Avengers: Doomsday features an impressive lineup including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr. – whose return has been the subject of intense speculation. The cast also brings together Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Letitia Wright alongside newcomers like Vanessa Kirby.
The X-Men will be well-represented with Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Channing Tatum all confirmed to appear.
Other notable cast members include Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Pedro Pascal, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Paul Rudd, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
