Tom Brady is adding another venture to his growing business empire. The legendary quarterback has invested in Aescape, a company that’s pioneering what they call the “first robotic massage technology” in the world.
The investment deal is being structured as an acquisition, with Brady stepping into the role of Chief Innovation Officer. His business partner Alex Spiro will serve as a strategic advisor, with both receiving equity stakes in the company.
You won’t find human hands at work in these massage sessions.
Aescape’s robotic massage systems – operated entirely by mechanical arms without human intervention – have already secured prime locations in luxury establishments including Four Seasons hotels, Ritz-Carlton properties, and Equinox fitness centers. Sessions begin at $60 for a half-hour treatment, which the company claims delivers the equivalent benefits of a 60-minute traditional massage because “the robotic arms work with firm pressure the entire time in a way a human can’t.”
Brady explained his interest in the technology through his personal experience with physical therapy. “Since early in my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with Alex Guerrero, the best body coach in the world. What we’ve built together helped me play 23 seasons in the NFL. Now, together with Aescape, we’re making that same elite level of treatment accessible to everyone,” he said in a statement.
The technology offers personalized experiences through advanced body mapping. “The sensors create a 3D model of your body that’s going to really personalize the massage… and between each visit, it’s going to remember you and know the things you like,” explained Eric Litman, Aescape’s founder and CEO.
This investment comes amid some controversy surrounding Brady’s recent activities. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was spotted in the Las Vegas Raiders coaching box during Week 2 – despite his contractual obligations as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports. The appearance has prompted criticism from fans who question whether Brady is receiving preferential treatment from the league while juggling multiple roles.
Brady’s post-playing career continues to expand rapidly across various industries – from media and apparel to health technology and now robotic wellness services.
