Even a regular weekend presents you with an opportunity to do something fun that takes your mind away from the responsibilities of the week. However, finding yourself with an extra day off on that weekend does seem to change something; no longer is this an opportunity to do something fun, it almost demands that you do.
Fun is subjective, though, meaning that this doesn’t have to be some high octane, crazy weekend, it only has to be something that you enjoy. An extra day means that you can immerse yourself more in your time off and disconnect from life’s pressures to an even greater extent. Take Time for Yourself
Your initial reaction when faced with time off like this might be to assume that you have to spend it socially; it’s an opportunity to do something big so there’s no excuse not to, right? Well, there is an excuse: that being if you don’t want to. Perhaps all you want to do with this time is to kick off your boots, sit down and watch some films or play some games. Maybe you just want to have a lazy few days, and that’s well within your rights to do so.

Regular weekends aren’t exactly long enough for short holidays, but three whole days gives you enough time to mix up your environments and actually enjoy your time there. If you decide that this is something that you want to do on the day, however, you can be spontaneous and find some last-minute accommodation or try something potentially different, such as a road trip or camping trip.
The Social Route
Sometimes, however, you do want to be social. In this case, you have three whole days to do whatever you like with your friends or family. Maybe you want to take a day out somewhere, either just to see somewhere different or to partake in a certain activity. Alternatively, you could throw a party or host a social gathering where you can include all of your favourite relaxing activities, such as drinking and music. You don’t have to decide between one or the other, with three whole days you have time to be social and to take time for yourself.
