Seth Meyers is getting back to stand-up comedy with his new special on Netflix titled “Lobby Baby.” As you might expect, the late-night television host and Saturday Night Live alumnus has a handful of jokes about President Donald Trump.
But for those who want to enjoy their comedy without any political jokes, Netflix has just the thing for you.
Ahead of the new Seth Meyers stand-up special, Netflix created the “Skip Politics” button which will allow viewers to skip the segment of Meyers’ routine where he begins cracking jokes about the president.
Meyers is actually the one who approached Netflix about using technology to create the “Skip Politics” button.
“It dawned on me that because it was on Netflix, there would be this opportunity to put in technology that would allow people to skip it,” Meyers told CNN Business. “It was a way to build in the response to anyone who would say, ‘Oh, let me guess there’s going to be jokes about the President.'”
The report adds:
Robbie Praw, Netflix’s director of original standup comedy programming, told CNN Business in an email that Meyers came to the company with “this clever idea” and “we’re thrilled he was able to take advantage of the Netflix experience in such a funny and innovative way.”
The new “Lobby Baby” stand-up special from Meyers officially dropped on the streaming service on Tuesday, November 5.
