Trevor Noah welcomed Hillary Clinton to Thursday night’s edition of The Daily Show to promote her upcoming book The Book of Gutsy Women alongside her daughter Chelsea. During that interview, Noah snuck in a light-hearted question about conspiracy theories that have been floating around the internet.
As Noah was firing off questions, he jokingly asked the former First Lady about how she pulled off killing convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein while he was locked away in his Manhattan jail cell.
“I have to ask you a question that has been plaguing me for a while: How did you kill Jeffrey Epstein?”, Noah asked. “Because you’re not in power, but you have all the power. I really need to understand how you do what you do, because you seem to be behind everything nefarious, and yet you do not use it to become president.
“Honestly, what does it feel like being the boogeyman to the right?”

Clinton has been the center of the “#ClintonBodyCount” conspiracy theories which claim that she and former President Bill Clinton are responsible for a number of deaths of political and influential figures. Epstein was the latest person who conspiracy theorists linked to the Clintons.
As for Hillary’s response to the Epstein rumors, she brushed them off.
“Well, it’s a constant surprise to me,” Clinton said. “Because the things they say, and now, of course, it’s on steroids with being online, are so ridiculous, beyond any imagination that I could have.
“And yet they are so persistent in putting forth these crazy ideas and theories. Honestly, I don’t know what I ever did to get them so upset.”
Epstein was found hanged to death in his jail cell in what was ruled a suicide. Autopsy results, however, showed a fractured bone that is more consistent with homicide strangulation than suicide which only ramped up the conspiracy theories.
We may never know what exactly happened to Epstein prior to his death, but we do know that Clinton isn’t going to let any theories derail her from moving forward.
