Cassandra Medina-Hernandez, a deli worker from Oregon, is in some trouble with the law for sending one co-worker to the hospital with an interesting ingredient in her bean dip. According to a report from The Oregonian, the 38-year-old Medina-Hernandez contaminated bean dip with methamphetamine and two co-workers consumed it.
Medina-Hernandez allegedly removed “something from inside her bra while her back was to the camera, go behind a microwave, lean down and wipe her nose when she stood up.”
One of the co-workers fell ill and was transported to the hospital.
Medina-Hernandez was charged with suspicion of delivery of methamphetamine and causing another person to ingest a controlled substance.

The daughter told the deputy that she went to the deli to get something for lunch, saw Medina-Hernandez making bean dip and asked to try some, the affidavit said. She took some of the dip home with her about a half-hour later, “thought one of the bites she ate tasted odd, but she did not think anything of it,” the affidavit said. She returned to work and felt her stomach was upset and her feet were unsteady. She said she’d never taken meth before, the affidavit said.
Medina-Hernandez reportedly remains behind bars in the Marion County Jail on $50,000 bail.
The Smoking Gun adds that Medina-Hernandez previously was charged with assault, robbery, identity theft and delivery of meth, as well as theft, possession of meth and possessing a restricted weapon as a felon. She was sentenced to two years behind bars.
It’s unfortunate that Medina-Hernandez spiked her bean dip with meth and the incident could have been much worse, but hey, at least she has one heck of a story to tell.
